Pittsburgh, New Year’s Eve, 1955. As television and rock ’n’ roll threaten to silence WPOX forever, a colorful crew of seasoned radio performers gathers to prepare for one final holiday broadcast of Charles Dickens’ The Chimes. But when a mysterious young girl arrives at the studio that evening, everything changes. Filled with hilarious mishaps, unforgettable characters, old-fashioned effects, and the nostalgic magic of live radio that drove a generation, Midnight at WPOX is a heartwarming comedy about second chances, unlikely friendships, and the enduring power of storytelling.
