The inaugural New Hazlett Theater ForgeWorks production, It’s Just a Smatter of Time, is an interdisciplinary, evening-length work by Ephrat Asherie Dance, author Mo Willems, and Third Coast Percussion.
Exploring how time moves forward and backward, plus what we lose or gain along the way, this cross-generational collaboration uses live percussion, visual storytelling, projected imagery, and interactive audience participation to transform internal emotional landscapes into a tangible environment. Incorporating street and club dance forms including breaking, hip hop, house, popping, locking, whacking, and hustle, the artists investigate how we fill our lives while uncovering new modes of expression.
