Whether you're planning an intimate ceremony, a lively cocktail hour, or a full reception, our unique theater offers a memorable backdrop for every moment of your celebration. Packages start at $1000, with rental pricing tailored to your event based on the style and size of your celebration, your preferred date and timing, and any staffing or production needs.

All Packages Include: 

  • Access to the event space, dressing rooms, green room, and rehearsal room on the day of your event.

    • Please note: For our Ceremony on the Steps package, access to indoor spaces (including dressing rooms, the green room, and rehearsal room) is subject to availability based on theatrical rentals taking place at the theater that day.

  • State-of-the-art theatrical lighting and sound consoles & equipment 

  • Experienced venue staff and technicians to support your day 

Other Rental Highlights 

  • Premium lighting options as well as other house equipment (projector, projector screen, wireless microphones) are available for an added rental fee 

  • Catering may be provided by the licensed caterer of your choice. All caterers must operate from a licensed commercial kitchen and hold the appropriate catering permits.

  • Liquor for the event must be purchased through the New Hazlett and served by NHT RAMP certified bartenders. We offer basic, standard, and premium packages for you to choose from

  • A refundable security deposit of $1000 is required for renting the space 

  • General liability insurance with the New Hazlett Theater and City of Pittsburgh

Ceremony on the Steps offers a chic, micro-intimate outdoor ceremony designed for elopements, short-and-sweet vow renewals, or minimalist celebrations. Picture standing on the stone steps surrounded by 20 of your closest friends and family and the Romanesque landmark as your backdrop. This 90-minute rental gives you a photo-worthy urban moment that feels effortless, elegant, and uniquely yours.
