Schedule released for year-long festival providing a new forum for performance and experimentation in Pittsburgh
July 24, 2007 (PITTSBURGH)…The New Hazlett Theater is pleased to announce the schedule for the year-long festival “Women in the Arts: Founders, Pioneers, Instigatorsâ€. The festival format is comprised of performances and symposium/discussion forums centered around a theme.

Executive Director, Sara Radelet says, “We are pleased to announce this programming series at the New Hazlett Theater. Our intent with the Festival is to provide a forum for performance and experimentation, while also setting aside the time and place to give voice to issues and ideas in the arts today. Details of all programs are still in the works and we will happily announce final plans as event dates approach.â€
The programs provide the increasingly strong voice of women in the artist community with an opportunity to promote dialogue, share innovative performance and inspire involvement.
The New Hazlett Theater is a 450-seat performing arts venue located on Pittsburgh’s Northside.
As a charitable 501c nonprofit, the organization supports and nurtures the creative performing arts,
and serves as a community resource for arts access and arts education.
